VASIKO MACHABELI
Composer. Music Producer
Vasiko Machabeli was born in Tbilisi, Georgia to a family of musicians. His father was a singer and guitar player, and his mother was a choir conductor. When he was 4 years old, his parents had a famous Georgian composer and professor at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire over for dinner. That evening was a defining moment for Vasiko because that was when his parents and their special guest discovered that he had perfect pitch. When he was 5 years old, Vasiko was sent to music school where he was taught piano, violin, and composition. After school, he graduated from the Tbilisi State Conservatoire and went on to perform in major concert halls across the Soviet Union until a war broke out in Georgia and his music career was put on hold. Although his life took a dramatic turn, his passion for music never waned.
Today, Vasiko writes music for a wide array of media including theatre, television, and films. His music is stylised by blending traditional orchestration with contemporary electronic elements. To stay up to date, Vasiko completed sound design courses and perfected his skills in mix and mastering. He uses Cubase Pro as his main software to produce high-quality soundtracks. His work is a reflection of his resilient nature and belief that music makes the world a better place.
